Carlo Ratti
Director of MIT Senseable City Lab | Italy
An architect and engineer by training, Professor Carlo Ratti teaches at the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning, where he directs the Senseable City Lab. He is also Co-Founder of the international design and innovation office CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati and sees great potential in making cities sustainable through big data. Better data management will, according to him, not only benefit policymakers but also ordinary citizens by making them an integral part of the urban feedback loop. Carlo’s work was exhibited in several venues, and he was included in Blueprint Magazine’s “Smart List – 50 people who will change the world”.
