Alice Haugh
Senior Programme Manager at Laudes Foundation | The Netherlands
Decarbonisation has a new champion: Alice Haugh, Built Environment Programme Manager at the Laudes Foundation, Amsterdam. With a focus on inclusion, regeneration, and occupants rather than a city’s built fabric – and by corelating social equality and climate factors – this trained architect fights to protect human rights and improve living and working conditions via a just transition. Alice drives system-wide stakeholder collaboration that coordinates European policy makers, industry, finance, and communities to tackle the immense emission levels of the built environment and the direct social consequences. And from a belief that all architects must creatively consider ecology in their designs, she teaches the next generation by leading strategic design studios within various Architecture Master’s programmes around the Netherlands.
